GLO Case Studies:

Men’s Six Nations Launch

Summary

We delivered AV, lighting, and multi-camera broadcast production for the launch of the 2026 Men’s Six Nations at The Hub, Edinburgh.

With all six national captains and coaches appearing live on stage, and thousands watching globally via YouTube, the event demanded broadcast-grade delivery, seamless hybrid integration, and absolute reliability. Delivered with a short lead time, the production combined technical precision with agile planning to meet the demands of a high-profile international sports launch.

Global Broadcast | 7k+ Online Viewers | 100% Stream Uptime

Context & Challenge

The event required the smooth integration of multiple live elements, including dynamic Q&A sessions, a moving pipe band performance travelling through the venue, a key trophy presentation, and a live closing panel.

These were combined with pre-recorded content, VT playback, and live graphics to create a well-orchestrated broadcast experience.

All of this was delivered within a tight setup window due to a large scenic build, with lighting states refined during rehearsal.

Camera positions were carefully managed to protect sight-lines, while the production simultaneously balanced in-room audio reinforcement with a dedicated broadcast mix.

Production Delivery

We delivered a five-camera broadcast setup, combining a manned primary camera with four PTZ units operated from the gallery to ensure full coverage of the stage, panels, and venue.

The production integrated live vision mixing, VT playback, graphics, and a pre-recorded opening, supported by a dedicated audio setup with separate mixes for the room and broadcast.

Lighting was designed to enhance the venue while maintaining on-camera clarity, with key states refined during rehearsal. We also extended lighting into the venue’s tunnels and designed custom audio cues through strategically placed speakers, creating an immersive atmosphere that made guests feel as if they were experiencing a live stadium event.

To ensure reliability, the livestream featured dual encoders, backup stream paths, and continuous monitoring throughout.

Results

The event reached a global audience of over 7,300 viewers across live and on-demand platforms, delivering a seamless broadcast experience with 100% stream uptime. The production was executed without issue, with all elements, from live panels to complex performance moments, running smoothly. The client also received a same-day on-demand version, enabling immediate post-event engagement and extended reach beyond the live broadcast.
