Context & Challenge

HCA Healthcare UK required a reliable and scalable solution to deliver educational content to a global medical audience.

Key challenges included ensuring secure access to events with controlled attendance, maintaining high production quality beyond standard webinar platforms, managing multiple remote contributors across different locations, and enabling real-time audience interaction without compromising stream stability.

Production Delivery

We built a tailored workflow to meet both technical and audience needs. This included developing dedicated microsites for each event, with password-protected access, embedded live streams, and integrated Q&A functionality. Presenters and panellists were managed via familiar platforms such as Zoom and Teams, ensuring ease of use while maintaining production control.

All remote feeds were routed into a hardware vision mixer, allowing full editorial control over layouts, transitions, and branding. This enabled the creation of dynamic outputs such as picture-in-picture compositions, branded backgrounds, and smooth switching between contributors.

To support presenters, we delivered pre-event rehearsals and facilitated the inclusion of pre-recorded segments where required. Broadcast enhancements such as logo bugs, countdown timers, lower thirds, and data overlays were incorporated to elevate the overall viewing experience.

Results

The solution delivered consistently high-quality, full HD live streams, avoiding the compression limitations typical of standard online platforms. It enabled secure and interactive experiences for a global medical audience while maintaining a polished, broadcast-standard presentation. Event recordings were delivered on the same day, allowing HCA Healthcare UK to publish content immediately for on-demand viewing. Overall, the approach significantly enhanced the quality, accessibility, and professionalism of their virtual events.
