Inclusion Scotland Hybrid Event

Summary

We work with Inclusion Scotland to provide AV and live streaming services across multiple venues, ensuring their events are fully accessible to all participants. For this hybrid inclusion event, we delivered live streaming with integrated accessibility features, including Live Captioners, BSL interpreters, and interactive audience engagement, enabling a smooth and accessible experience for both in-person and remote attendees.

Context & Challenge

Inclusion Scotland required a live-streamed event with accessibility at its core. The challenge was to provide an inclusive experience for both physical and virtual audiences, ensuring that content from Live Captioner’s and BSL interpreters could be accessed easily by all participants. Multiple venues and different audience needs added complexity, requiring a flexible, reliable solution that maintained high production quality while prioritising accessibility.

Production Delivery

We included a full AV setup and live streaming workflow, capturing the event across multiple venues. We integrated two in-person BSL interpreters and live caption feeds into the live stream. A custom microsite was developed, hosting the YouTube stream with embedded Slido for interactive Q&A. Accessibility features included separate buttons for BSL and live caption streams, allowing online viewers to select the format that suited them best. The production ensured high-quality audio, video, and visual accessibility for all attendees.

Results

The event was delivered successfully with full accessibility, enabling both in-person and remote participants to engage meaningfully. Attendees could choose BSL or caption feeds seamlessly, while the interactive microsite facilitated real-time participation through Slido. Inclusion Scotland praised the polished production, the user-friendly accessibility features, and the team’s expertise in creating an inclusive hybrid event environment.
